Description:
Proposed development of a new build four storey 110 bedroom care home scheme, on the site of a former preparatory school, which is to be demolished as part of the required enabling works.
The design of the scheme had to conform to industry regulations and guidelines alongside the lesson learnt from the clients other existing care homes, which were captured as part of the Employers Requirements.
To be procured as a single stage Design & Build contract, elements of the scheme wp themes are to be developed in more detail, in order to provide cost and quality certainty that the client desired.
Milestone Project Consultancy were involved from the initial site acquisition stage, providing preliminary due-diligence and development feasibility analysis, and then subsequent Project Management, Employers agent and QS services , through a partnership practice.
Planning was granted in early May 2014, with current Stage E scheme design development ongoing with a target site commencement in late 2014.
